Boot Scooters Line Dancing, low impact, 10am to11.30am at the Scout Hall, Christian Street.

The Elske Centre for over 60's from 10am to 3pm.  Venue: Dannevirke Anglican Church Hall.  Co-ordinator Lorraine Warrington, 374 7649.  The Centre offers its services through Anglican Care and is a charitable trust for the Community.

Norsewood Craft Group meet in the pottery room, behind Norsewood Information Centre from 10.30am - 3.30pm.  Bring you own craft, whatever it may be, and your own food or treat yourself to lunch in the village.  A minimal charge applies towards the power, everyone welcome.

Huia Range School & Kidz presents "Hollywood Quiz Night" at the Huia Range School Hall, Cole Street at 7.30pm. Entry fee is $40 per team of 4. Bar opens @ 7pm, cash bar only, no BYO, 18 yrs and over.  Super provided, courtesy vehicle available for town deliveries. Registration closes 11th May, be in quick limited seats. Unity Singers proudly present their annual Mothers Day concert "A Taste of London" at the Dannevirke Town Hall at 2pm. Enjoy old favourites from shows such as Oliver, My Fair Lady and Mary Poppins through to the modern times with Cliff Richard and The Beatles. Plus Maureen Ax School of Dance and Helen O'Grady Drama Academy. Tickets available from both Dannevirke and Pahiatua Information Centres.

Dannevirke Country Music Club meets at the Old Acquaintance Club, Allardice Street at 1.30pm.  Guest artist Clive Hook. All welcome.  

The Vault CafĂ©, an afternoon of Live Local Music from 12noon – 3pm. No cover charge, open mic.

National Day of Norway to be celebrated in Norsewood. Programme – 10am Assemble at Johanna's World, refreshments, flag-raising and prayer. 10.30am Parade and placement of floral tribute honouring our Scandinavian pioneers. 11.15am Church service, short talk and Scandinavian dancing by Norsewood school students. Lunch – Contributions towards a shared lunch and entries for the Scandinavian food cooking competition are welcome. The hall will be open from 10am, please register on arrival.
