Tuesday 24th April 2012

Boot Scooters Line Dancing, low impact, 10am to11.30am at the Scout Hall, Christian Street.
The Elske Centre for over 60's from 10am to 3pm.  Venue: Dannevirke Anglican Church Hall.  Co-ordinator Lorraine Warrington, 374 7649.  The Centre offers its services through Anglican Care and is a charitable trust for the Community.

Dannevirke & Districts Grey Power Assn. meets at The Hub, Allardice Street, Dannevirke at 1.30pm.  Guest speaker will be Janet & Bill Rendle – Rail Trail – South Island. Please note change of day.  Meeting 1.30pm. Every one is welcome.

Anzac Day – Wednesday 25th April 2012
A dawn service will be held at the Cenotaph following the fall-in at 5.45am.
At 9am the Parade leaves Swinburn Street to march to the Domain for the laying of the wreaths at the Cenotaph. Following this the Civic Service will be held at the Memorial. In the event of weather conditions preventing the Parade, the Civic Service will be held at the Dannevirke Town Hall commencing at 9am.
The Dannevirke Theatre Company presents – ANZAC show – I didn't raise my boy to be a soldier by Gary Mitchelmore at the Dannevirke Fountain Theatre at 3pm and 7.30pm.  Tickets are available from Paper Plus – adults $15 and children $5.

Dannevirke Art Society meets at the studio, 30 McPhee Street for painting & drawing from 10am onwards.  Visitors & newcomers are welcome.
Volley Ball - Dannevirke Sports Centre, Anderson Street 6pm to 7.30pm.  Bring along a friend and give it a go. 
Alcoholics Anonymous meets at The Hub, Gordon Street, at Noon.
Norsewood Craft Group meet in the pottery room, behind Norsewood Information Centre from 10.30am - 3.30pm.  Bring you own craft, whatever it may be, and your own food or treat yourself to lunch in the village.  A minimal charge applies towards the power, everyone welcome.
Ruahine Ramblers Leisure Marching Team meets at the Netball Courts, Anderson Street at 5.30pm.  New members welcome to join.  Contact Marj Johnson 374 8725.
